Cylex Sign Refurbishment
Restore Your Signs — Or Upgrade Them Entirely
Professional Sign Refurbishment Services
Over time, UV exposure, humidity, temperature swings, and general wear will cause paint and clear coat to fade and flake — even on high-quality signs. Cylex’s refurbishment process sandblasts your existing signs to remove dirt, faded paint, and surface buildup, then repaints and reseals them with high-grade UV-protective coatings that restore their original appearance and extend their life for years to come.
• Ship-In Refurbishment
Many golf courses — particularly those in northern climates that close for the winter months — ship their signage to our facility in Huntsville, TX during the off-season for a full refurbishment. Signs are restored and returned before the course reopens in spring, so your members arrive to a course that looks fresh and well-maintained from day one of the season.
• On-Site Refurbishment
For courses that operate year-round and cannot afford to pull their signage for an extended period, on-site refurbishment may be an option. Contact us to discuss your course’s specific situation and we will work with you to find the best solution.
• Is Refurbishment Right For You?
Refurbishment is a great option for many courses — but it’s not always the obvious choice. Depending on the condition of your existing signs, shipping costs in both directions, and the scope of work required, the total cost of refurbishment may be comparable to investing in new signage. That’s not a bad thing. New signs open the door to exciting possibilities — a new course logo, updated hole layouts, swapping front and back nine numbering, a completely new sign style, or a fresh aesthetic that instantly revitalizes your course for your members and guests. We will always give you an honest evaluation of both options.
• How the Process Works
To get started, send us photos of your existing signage. Our team will evaluate the condition of your signs, assess what refurbishment involves, and provide you with a clear comparison of refurbishment vs. replacement options — including pricing, timeline, and recommendations. Every course and every sign program is different, so we take the time to understand your needs before making a recommendation.
Frequently Asked Questions
• What types of signs can be refurbished?
Cylex can refurbish tee signs, tee markers, directional and info signs, entry signs, park signs, yardage markers, and driving range signs — including signs originally manufactured by Cylex as well as signs from other manufacturers.
• Can you refurbish signs made by other manufacturers?
Yes. Send us photos of your existing signs and we will evaluate whether refurbishment is feasible and cost-effective for your specific signage.
• What does the refurbishment process involve?
We sandblast your signs to remove dirt, faded paint, and surface buildup, then repaint and reseal with high-grade UV-protective coatings. Graphics and logos are restored or updated as needed. The result is a sign that looks and performs like new.
• Can I update my logo or hole layouts during refurbishment?
Absolutely — and many courses take advantage of this. Refurbishment is the perfect time to incorporate a new club logo, update hole layout diagrams, add new course details, swap front and back nine numbering, or refresh the overall look of your signage program without the full cost of new signs.
